Blue Ridge CTC serves as the Eastern Panhandle's local community & technical college, and is centrally located in Martinsburg, WV.

Blue Ridge CTC offers 22 associate degree programs from which students may go on to pursue careers in their fields of study upon completion of a two-year program. Students may also choose to continue their education at a 4-year institution in pusuit of a baccalaureate degree.

West Virginia Community & Technical College?


Location - West Virginia Community & Technical Colleges are conveniently located within easy communting distance of many West Virginia communities.

Job Preparation -According to the U.S. Dept.of Labor, more than one half of all new jobs being created require one to three years of education beyond high school. Community & technical colleges in West Virginia offer certificate and associate degree programs that prepare graduates to enter today's highly technical workplace with skills that will carry them into the future.


Career Specific Programs -
Associate degree and certificate level programs are offered in the areas of business & marketing, engineering & technology, health, human services and science & natural science. These programs are designed to prepare students for immediate employment.

The U.S. Census Bureau reports that graduates with an associate degree earn at least 50 percent more than high school graduates. Most associate degree programs provide job-specific education including technical skills training that lead to certification, liscensure or other credentials that often result in higher salaries

A student may earn community & technical college credits in high school - at no charge - and transfer these credits to West Virginia Community & Technical Colleges. With the right planning, this could allow a student to graduate from a community and technical college in less than two years saving time and money.

Transfer to a Four-Year College -
Many students begin their college career at a community & technical college that is close to home. This allows students to adjust to college economically and helps ease the transfer to college.
