What is Tech Prep?

Tech Prep
is a national initiative designed to help a greater population of students succeed in an ever -changing, technology driven economy. West Virginia Tech Prep helps to bridge the gap between high school , college and high skill, high wage careers by facilitating a seamless curriculum between high schools and community and technical colleges in West Virginia. A result of this is the EDGE initiative which provides students with the opportunity to earn community and technical college credits in their high school classes!

The Bottom Line

The bottom line is that in West Virginia, Tech Prep means money for the student, as EDGE classes allow students to save hundreds and possibly thousands of dollars in community and technical college tuition. In turn, this can lead to high skill, high wage careers upon completion of an associate degree from a WV community and technical college within two years -or less- of graduating high school.
